So, I apologize that what I’m about to tell you happened over a week ago, not today. But that’s no reason not to blog, so let me tell you why we had a lovely bonus day in Amsterdam.
We were supposed to fly from Newcastle to Amsterdam then Amsterdam to Buenos Aires. Our plane from Newcastle to Amsterdam got delayed by an hour. The problem was that an hour was all the time we had to catch our connecting flight from Amsterdam to Buenos Aires. Yes, we missed the flight.
Once we arrived at the airport, we had to go and talk with the airline help center. That is when William my brother, turned to me and said that there were mice running around in the room next to us. 😫Disgusting! As you all know, I am not the biggest fan of mice or rats.
By the end we got it all sorted out. KLM airlines paid for us to stay in a nice hotel and we had a faboo day in Amsterdam and we got on the flight to Buenos Aires the following night.
I loved all the shops, big canals and cute restaurants that made Amsterdam really fun to explore. This was definitely a city I’d love to come back to visit. Hopefully they’ll have figured out the mice problem at the airport by then!
